CUSTOMER COMMENTS...

Click on a state below to see comments from clients arranged by city.  I try to update these as I receive them, however, I am a bit behind.  Some cities have more than one entry.  The comments are verbatim, with some minor editing for spelling.  Ok, FrontPage checked the spelling, not me.  I conceal the client's name and blank out phone numbers.  You see what others have said, not just a sales pitch by me.  I've included the good and the not so good.  The system is not perfect, but as you read these comments I think you'll see others believe it is a very good product for the money.  I do my best to make the customer happy.  I cannot afford unhappy clients.

As of 3/23/2007, we have clients in every state except Wyoming.  We also have clients in the following countries:  Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands Antilles, Norway, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico.

Here are a few random comments:

AL: Ashford -  Hey Bob, the cage we bought from you is great.  I have three kids ages are 7, 10, and 13 they love it.  This cage was simple to put up, me and my to boys put it up.  We were hitting balls in less than an hour even after putting together the L screen.  Wish I had bought one sooner.  Thanks again.  JM - one
pleased customer.  3/18/2007

AZ: Goodyear - Hello Bob, I wanted you to know that I have the cage installed and it is AWESOME!!!  I set it up as recommended, but quickly realized it was overwhelming for my yard.  I cut the legs down to 8' (as my kids are still 3, 5, 7) and it now looks like it belongs.  We have had a wonderful time already.  Thank you so much for your help.  Now for the next step.  I have a Franklin pitching machine, but the pitches are simply not repeatable.  I am just creating bad habits for the kids.  I saw on your web site that you sell some machines.  Again, I have small children, but I am looking for something that is repeatable for them.  What would you suggest?  Thank you, DK  8/20/2006  [Thanks for the kind words. Glad it is working out well for you. Not a bad idea for an 8' height for younger kids. Probably easier to put up and take down too!  A good machine for younger kids is the Zooka.  They make a ZS740 it runs $634 with shipping and the ZS720 for $434 with shipping.  The ZS740 will throw up to 70mph and is a good machine.  It is battery operated and can be taken to fields or plugged into an A/C outlet to keep it charged.  The ZS720 is a smaller version and only throws up to 50mph.  The ZS740 has a few more features.  I like the company they are good people to deal with.  Check out their web site at http://zooka.com Let me know if you have any questions.  /Bob DeCloss]

CA:  Chino - Hi Bob,  after three months of hard use I can honestly say your batting cage is the best deal in town. I coach teams from College all the way down to AAA, just about every day and the ease of setup and sturdiness can’t be beat.  MF  11/20/2006

FL: Mariana - Hi, My name is JS and I purchased a batting cage from you just over a year ago.  The cage is everything that was advertised and more. My two sons have really benefited from having a cage in the back yard. Last summer, my oldest son was chosen for his league's all-star team. He led the tournament in hitting with 15 hits in five games and a .750 batting average. I was able to get out in the cage with him ever day of the tournament since it was during summer vacation and he got several quality cuts in before each game.  The only problem I've had with the cage is that on two occasions, the first, a possum and the second, a bird got trapped and tried to escape and gnawed holes in the cage.  It was during the month off from ball and I didn't notice they were trapped until the damage had been done. At your convenience, I'm requesting a patch kit.  Thanks again, JS  4/09/2007  [Thanks for the kind words. Glad it has worked out well for you. Sorry about the critter problem. I'll send you some scraps and extra twine today. /Bob DeCloss]

GA: Tifton - Bob, just wanted you to know that everyone loves the cage.  We bought a 70 foot cage for our indoor training academy here in Tifton, Georgia (Baseball Academy of the South).  It has worked great with attendance reaching 75-100 kids per week hitting in it.  We’ve been open for about three months now and have had no problems.  I’ll be in touch when it’s time to purchase the second cage. Thanks.   EB  1/25/2007

IN: Bloomington - Bob, We received the cage last week and it has become a family thing with the three boys. Unless it is raining and even then it has to be hard we are going to play in the cage. The kids love it because they get so many more repetitions and I love it because I do not have to find the balls with the lawn mower! I am glad I choose your cage because of the poles it was easy to put together and strong enough for the cage. The price between the ¾ poles and the 1 and 5/8 poles was four times as much. The ¾ poles will take a beating and give were the others are so sturdy they would just dent instead of giving. If you do bend one of the ¾ by say getting to close to it with a lawnmower or a bad wind storm you are out a whole $3.97 for a new one.  Thanks so much for the cage.  DG  4/02/2007

MA: Upton - 1)  After four seasons of weather and use, our net needs some repairs to various sized holes. I've tried every kind of string and twine I can find in hardware stores, Lowe's, Home Depot etc. but none of them hold...the knots just seem to undo themselves without even getting hit with balls and I'm left with the holes again! Do you sell repair string at all? I used up the little bit that was shipped with the net a long time ago.  Thanks,  SA  [Yes, I have some twine and can even send you some netting scraps. Give me an address and I'll get it out on Monday. Hope the cage has worked out well for you these past few years. /Bob DeCloss]

2).  Your cage has served us we since we got it prior to my son's freshman year in high school. I think the extra hitting he got in the back yard was instrumental in his making the varsity team as a sophomore, starting and playing every inning as a junior, and being named a co-captain of the squad as a senior. He was recruited by a number of colleges and will be playing for an NCAA Division III team beginning this fall. Coaches note his swing mechanics, plate discipline, and bat control (being able to hit the ball where he wants) as his major assets at the plate. You aren't able to develop those things without lots of batting practice. SA 4/08/2007

NJ: Ewing - Bob:  Just wanted to let you know that what you state on your site is true!  We have had the cage for abt 6 weeks now.  It was relatively simple to put up.  I did it with my wife and son, plus I got the poles at Home Depot for abt $140.  He has been hitting abt 150/200 balls a day....and killing me as I'm pitching.  He will hit all winter in the cage, and be ready for the spring 2007 season.  His swing has improved from hitting consistently.  Thanks again....and it was as simple as you stated!  TL  8/5/2006

NY: Stillwater - Bob, three years ago we bought a batting cage from you and have finally gotten it all together.  One summer it was too cold, one summer it was too windy, but this summer it was just right and my two boys used the cage almost daily.  They love being able to go out in the yard and practice baseball anytime and I love not having to travel to the local batting cage.  Just for fun this summer, we went down to the local golf/batting cage business to hit a few.  Both the boys agreed they liked their own cage and pitching machine MUCH better.  My oldest son said he likes it best when I pitch which was the best compliment a mother could receive.  Unfortunately, this year we placed our cage too close to the woods near our yard and the rabbits that live there.  We have killed 4 rabbits this summer when they have ventured too close to the cage and gotten themselves caught in the netting.  I now have several large holes that need repair.  Can I purchase some line to restring the cage and repair the holes?  I don't know how you would sell it but I need about 10-15 yds.  If I have to buy a spool or something please let me know.   Thanks so much for your help and for such a great, affordable "toy."  JR  9/23/2006 [Thanks for the kind words. Glad it has worked out well for you. I can send you some scrap netting and twine free of charge.]

TX: Cypress - Hello sir, I received the 50' cage last week, and all contents per packing slip were there.  Home Depot had the EMT as you mentioned on your web-sit, $3.97 ea.  I followed the "easy step" instructions you had enclosed and had no problems.  I put the cage up by myself with a little help from my 9-1/2 yr son, so it was a bit of chore for one person.  I will say it will go up in a snap with 3 adults and would be easily manageable with 2.  I was also very surprised at how the netting did such a good job of stopping the balls.  I thought just being draped over the top of the frame would not allow the balls to be stopped as well as it does.  I actually put the cage between my fence and the back of my garage which allows only about 2 foot per side outside the cage.  To my surprise batted balls rarely come into contact with the garage or fence.  My son plays select ball and my daughter plays softball down here in Houston and cage work is usually a weekly event.  Since I put the cage up it is a daily event, ha ha!  My daughter and son are both very excited about have a batting cage right outside their backdoor.  It really has made practice and work not such a chore, but something to do at home for fun!  Great product as far as I can tell so far.  I have mentioned it to a few friends already who may interested in setting up a cage in the near future.  I would like to tell any future customers that you get exactly what your website is advertising. The netting quality is good, the set-up is as easy as your instructions, and the L-Screen does the job!  Good product and good advertising, with nothing "hidden" from the customer.  UC

TX: Irving - Just letting you know that we bought the baseball cage from you many (4?) years ago for the purpose of practicing hockey stick handling and shooting for our son.  We decided to invest in this net because of the many pucks that our son shot over our neighbor's yard.  It has withstood Texas hail, wind, rain, and sometimes ice for all those years.  Our son finally got the chance to use it for baseball practice last year when he tried out and made the school's Varsity baseball team.  Anyway, just thought we owe you some pictures that were long overdue.  For those interested in setting it up for hockey, we used several 9'x16' kitchen vinyl (the smoother the surface the better the pucks slide) to imitate ice surface over concrete, and some 4x4 wooden poles to keep the pucks in.  Thanks!  MS

WA:  Edmonds - Bob, is it possible to just buy two side connectors? Our cage has stretched out about 8-10 feet in the four years we have had it and I would like to utilize the extra length since it is there now. I only need two not the whole amount for a full cage. Hopefully it is possible to buy them individually or in pairs. Will you please let me know if this is OK and if it is, how much per connector and shipping & handling? Thank you for your time.  WB. Satisfied customer for 4 years.
3/14/2007 [Glad it has worked out well for you all these years. Yes, I sell them for $XX to clients, plus shipping. Shipping will run about $YY, so your total would be $ZZ. Give me an address and I'll get them out. You can send a check. /Bob DeCloss]
