Pitching Machines

Ok, you have a batting cage. Now it's time to start saving your arm!  To accomplish that you need to consider one of our pitching machines. Wheelhouse Batting Cages is your one-stop online shop to turn your ordinary backyard into the perfect destination for batting practice.

What to choose?

There is a wide range of different models to choose from so you can pick what suits your particular needs. We sell machines for youth, high school, college, and professional players. There are entry-level single-wheeled machines that pitch fastballs anywhere from 30 to 70 mph. Several of the two-wheeled machines will throw up to 100+ mph. With these, players can concentrate on one pitch at a time before changing to a different pitch, for example, a curveball or slider. These are also great for working on muscle memory and hand-eye coordination. For the more advanced player, there are programmable three wheeled machines that will throw any pitch at any time. This is particularly valuable for hitters learning how to handle a fastball and a change-up thrown in any order.

Capability and capacity

Some of the manufacturers offer either baseball pitching machines or softball pitching machines. A few do offer combination machines that will do both baseball and softball pitching. In most cases, there is an extra charge for a combo machine. First Pitch is one that provides both without an extra charge. In addition, a few machines come with a hopper or autoloader, but for most, the autoloader is an extra charge. Several manufacturers offer remote control, so the player can do it all by themselves, while you watch and observe.
