We have now bought two cages from Cages plus. A 50' cage we have at our house in PA we bought back in 2020 and now this 40' cage we have in TX. This new cage is even better than the first one and we loved the first one. My 15 year old son and I had it up in about 30 minutes. We have used them both almost every day!

We are located in Houston, TX. I bought this cage 13 years and two houses ago. The cage was only taken down to move from one house to the other. It stood strong through two hurricanes and atleast one tropical storm. My son used it year round and so did the majority of his teammates all the way through highschool varsity. Had to change some of the poles due to older stronger boys bending them, but is is inexpensive. Net held up through the heat and wear and tear. Had some holes in it towards the end, but I am pretty sure that was our dogs doing. I would recommend this cage to anyone who's child is serious about ball.
Great price, high quality, Easy(ish) Setup. I am really happy with the product. I would recommend ordering your poles from lowes/HD the same day you order the cage to ensure they are ready when it arrives.
I live in Houston Texas and have had the 3650 cage for 8 years. I put it up 8 years ago and have never taken it down. My son started hitting in it when he was 12 yrs old and still hits in it today as a 20 yr old college player. He has hit in it year around for 8 years since we live in the South. To this day it does Not have any holes in the netting. We have replaced many poles over the years as he got older and his exit velo off the bat bent the poles. But the net always held up. It's a sad day because I am taking it down for the first time in 8 years because we are selling our house. I feel the design of the net going over the poles has enabled it to hold up all these years. There is no tension on the netting. I highly recommend this cage to everyone.

I purchased a 50 foot trapezoid batting cage last fall. Only used it two months. When I brought it back out the spring and the boys started to hit in it we started to get a lot of holes in the net. It looked like all the holes were coming apart right where the knots were after a few pictures and some back-and-forth with customer service they agreed that the net must have been defective in some areas and they sent me an entire replacement net for free I just had to pay shipping. So I could not have been happier it was a great customer service experience and I would highly recommend this company. They stand behind their products.
Great cage! Well worth the money. It took 2 guys (that had never done it) a few hours to set up. It was the net that took the longest to figure out. I anchored it by driving 10 inch spikes into the ground and sliding the legs over them. It doesn’t move in high winds.
I have had the 70’ cage for nearly 12 years it seems. I needed to replace my connectors when I moved the cage from my house to my HS field for practice. Retaining Bolts rusted and snapped off. The new connectors are powder coated which is an improvement. I leave the cage up and the HS and unfortunately have to use cables to secure it in the wind. Additionally I add a led rope around the entire base of the net. Unfortunately I have had to replace bent conduit more than a few times. Who knew a net with holes and led rope could fly. The downside of having a “Portable” cage.
A friend highly recommended this cage and we have loved it! Easy to set up and is getting tons of use!

Additionally, our backyard batting cages are DURABLE and will give you years of trouble-free use. Since we started in 1998, none of our clients have had a hole in the net due to hitting nor has the netting deteriorated due to water or UV from the sun. This is due to the unique design we invented and the high quality of knotted nylon netting. The netting is draped over the frame and not attached anywhere to the frame. Because of this, the net can give, there is less wear and tear and abrasion on the net, hence longer life. Even we have been surprised. While we can't say for certain how long your net will last we are hearing that a lot of nets last between 5 and 10 years before some minor repair is needed. The most likely repair is from animals chewing on the net!

Furthermore, our cages are PORTABLE! Two people can put up the cage in under 30 minutes, my son and I have put up a 50' cage in fifteen minutes. This works out great for a team practice. With help from your team, it will go up in minutes! It comes down in even less time. The L-screen is portable too, its support legs come off and the screen folds in half. You can put them up and take them down for winter and/or take them on the road with a travel team and give your team valuable pregame hitting practice. Because the cage is portable, it most likely will comply with your neighborhood's CC&R's.
Easy to Assemble
Another important aspect of our batting cages is the assembly instructions are easy to follow. We can put up a 50' batting cage up in about 15 minutes. It may take you longer the first few times. But it really is easy. On the other hand, our competition's instructions are lengthy and complicated, involving snap hooks, turnbuckles, aircraft cable, cutting tubing to certain lengths and requiring some to have a "swedge" ends while others don't. And the list goes on. Our system requires no cutting or no additional hardware to buy. You just buy the standard 10' long 3/4" EMT poles and you're ready to go. You will need a 7/16" wrench, we use a ratchet or socket wrench, assembly goes faster that way. That's it. Check out our assembly video or our snapshots of assembly.
Flexible
Our batting cage will fit your yard. Does your yard taper? Is your ground uneven? Is your yard too short? Not a problem! Put up as few or as many sections as you like, up to the length of your cage. Each section is 10' long. It automatically fits the contour of your ground. It can be adjusted to fit narrower confines and can even be tapered to fit odd shaped spaces. While the standard width at the bottom is 14', you can easily move the poles in to 12'. Need it narrower, bend the roof pole up this will be bring the leg poles in. Need it even narrower? Still not a problem, cut the roof pole down and taper that end. We have had clients taper one end down to 8'. I do suggest putting the pitcher at the narrow end.
